Kelly And O’Donnell Take Second Place At Clonliffe Two

Kieran Kelly and Iseult O’Donnell took second place in Sunday’s 130th Clonliffe Two.

The prestigious Clonliffe Two, the longest consecutive road race in the world made a return to its Santry venue with Kelly taking second place behind Hiko Tonosa of DSD.

Iseult O’Donnell took second place in the women’s race behind Olympian Michelle Finn of Leevale. Full results of Raheny athlete’s once published by the race organisers.

Brian Leahy took second place at the Clondakin half marathon in 76:05 behind winner John Weldon of Newbridge in 74:05. Kate Purcell won the women’s race in 78:23.

Others who ran were Francesco Petroni 84:44, Michael McEnery 86:34, Brian McWeeney 91:49, Denis Murphy 93:52 and Julian Amorim 2:03.56.

In the 10K Paul Gannon posted 40:53 and Paul Bradley 51:55.

On Friday Francesco Petroni took fourth place in the Dublin Airport Central 5K held at ALSAA. Petroni posted 19 minutes 10 seconds for fourth. The race was won by Anthony Sharkey of LSA won out in 17:27.

Other Raheny athletes running were Dave Feeney finishing sixth in 21:25, Jim Keogh ninth 21:31.

Also running were Dan Wallace 22:48, Niall Buckley 23:25, Christy Reilly 24:03, Des Lyons 24:02, Amanda Langan 24:37, Deirdre O’Dwyer 24:53, Connor Jennings 25:27.
