Medals galore were collected at the national masters cross country in Cork on Sunday another strong Raheny showing.
The women’s team of Kate Purcell, Zoe Quinn, Sarah Quigley and Tara Kennedy bagged O/35 team silver behind Leevale and three points ahead of Sportsworld.
There individual medals for Kate Purcell taking O/35 bronze and Jean Dunne silver O/60.
The O/50 team of Orla Gormley, Lorraine Byrne, Brid NiChonaill and Jenny Colbert were fourth just 11 points off bronze medallists Dunboyne.
Zoe Quinn was 18th overall and just missed out on the bronze medal in the O/45 category finishing fourth. Also running was Rachel Ormrod.
The O/65 men’s team of Tom Loftus, Christy Reilly and Pat Timmons took bronze with 50 points behind Sli Culann and St Finbars.
The Masters men’s team of Mark Kirwan, David Kirwin, Ciaran McCarthy and John Dunne finished fifth. Also running were Terry Keogh, Eric Champ, Patrick Conroy, Keith Fleming, Michael Kehoe and Mick Gygax.
While the women’s intermediate cross country team were just outside the medals finishing in fourth place with 116 points. They were led home by Jenny O’Sullivan in 11th place and followed by Shannon Kelly, Laura Brennan and Orla Manley.
