Eric Favors set a new national shot put record with a throw of 20.07 metres at the Puerto Rico international athletics classic.

Favors took fifth place with a best of 20.07m. American Ryan Crouser won out with a best of 22.75m. Second place went to Payton Otterdahk (20.97m), third place to Andrew Likowitz (20.55m) and fourth place to Italian Nick Ponzio (20.53m).
