Sophie Becker has been selected for the World Championships in Oregon next month.
Becker will toe the line in the 400 metres and 4x400m mixed relay. Becker was a member of the Irish team which made the Olympic mixed relay final last year.
Becker will become the fourth Raheny Shamrock athlete to compete in these championships following Kieran Finn (4x400m relay) – Rome 1987, Paddy McGrath (Hammer) – Seville 1999 and Mick Clohisey (Marathon) – London 2017.
The very best wishes to Sophie and the Irish team at the World championships, which takes place from July 15th to 24th.
