The Raheny Shamrock women’s team have qualified for this years national track & field league final.
Simon Devenney’s troops collected 73 points in round two hosted in Carlow on Sunday. Coupled with the points from round one, this was enough to take one of the eight final places.
Victories from Niamh McCorry (100m Hurdles), Niamh Kearney (1500m) and Lucy Barrett (3000m) along with second place finishes in for Niamh McCorry (Shot Put) and the 4x400m relay team helped secure a place in the final.
The men’s team missed out on the place in the final accumulating just 51 points in round two.
Best wishes to Simon Devenney’s team in the league final set for Tullamore on Sunday August 14th
