There was action a plenty indoors on Wednesday night at the latest NIA live meet in the National indoor arena.
Sean L’Estrange won the fourth heat of the 60 metres in 7.03 seconds. Michael Farrelly took fourth place in heat five in 7.13 seconds.
Patricia O’Cleirigh clocked 2:51.60 in the 800 metres. Conall Rogers took second plae in the men’s heat two in 1:59.41.
Juan Ignacio Pena took second place in the 1,000m in 2:26.30, just behind Mark Millner of UCD in 2:22.88. Cillian Kirwan took fourth place in 2:28.45.
Elsewhere Feidhilm Kelly took sixth place in the Antarctic Ice Marathon in 4:20.58. We are checking the record book but believe that is a club record for the Antarctic Ice Marathon. The race was won by the Kelly coached Sean Tobin in 2:20.58.
