All-Ireland Schools Cross-Country Success

There was great success for Raheny athletes at the All-Ireland Schools cross country championship on Saturday.

The St. Paul’s College Raheny junior boys team took silver. The team included three shamrock’s Conrad Latham, Odhran Fidegon and Donagh Kirwan.

The team clocked 138 points and were just seven points behind gold medallist’s CBS Naas. The team is coached by Dick Hooper.

In the senior girls race, Siomha Magee took 18th place overall and was a member of the bronze medal winning Institute of Education team.

There were other very impressive performances, Willow Agnew (Clonturk Community College) 19th minor girls. Claire O’Leary ( Gaelcholaiste Reachrann) 25th junior girls and George Sevastopulo (Mount Temple) 33rd junior boys.
