David Kirwin was an impressive winner of the Fat Turkey 10K on Wednesday morning.
Kirwan clocked 34 minutes 27 seconds for victory, some 20 seconds clear of Stephen Butler in 34:47. Ciaran McCarthy came home in third place in 35:31.
Carmel Ward took the women’s race in an impressive 40 minutes 15 seconds. Ciara Brady of Sportsworld took second place in 40 minutes 23 seconds with Sive Duncan third in 42:36.

Elsewhere, Kieran Kelly won the Rita and Robbie 5K in Navan, posting 15 minutes seven seconds. Evilazio Araujo posted 21:24.
Meanwhile, Bary Ryan posted 19 minutes 56 seconds at the Cavan Christmas Dash on St Stephen’s Day.
