A great day at the St Stephen’s Day Paarlauf in St Anne’s Park with 10 teams taking part in the 20 minute relay.
At the end of the day, a brilliant run by the team of Marcus O’Sullivan, Sheona O’Keeffe, Rachel Costello, Liam Sheehan and Jeff Moore took victory.
For Liam Sheehan it was a special day as he took his fifth Paarlauf win, his first came in 2012. We’ll check the history books again, but that is the most win’s by one person to our knowledge.
Second place went to the team of Mark O’Callaghan, Finn Kenehan, Colm Cahill, Rebecca O’Rourke and Giovanni Salvatore.
The winners were presented with the Eugene O’Leary cup. Eugene was a founder member of Raheny Shamrock and founded the St. Stephen’s Day Paarlauf’s in 1972.
A very good and enjoyable earlier afternoon in St Anne’s. Happy Christmas to all.
