Rooney and Eviston Lead Home Team Success at Tom Brennan

Dave Rooney led the Raheny team to third place in the Tom Brennan Memorial 5K, the traditional New Year opener.

Rooney posted 15 minutes for 11th place. With Aidan Jones clocking 15:37 in 23rd place and Barry Meehan 32nd in 16:00. That gave the team 66 points. Clonliffe won out with 16 points, with Mullingar taking third place with 45 points.

While Siobhan Eviston led the women’s team to second place. Eviston posted 17:03 followed by Kate Crowley 17:18 and Annette Kealy 18:01 giving the team 19 points. DCH won out with 15 points.

George Sevastopulo was next home in 16:00 followed by V Meiazhagan in 16:19, Conrad Latham 16:42, Finn Renehan 16:48, Christian Finn 16:55, Christopher Quaid 16:59.

Colm Cassidy 17:03, Mark Salmon 17:08, Giovanni Salvatore 17:34, Davey Duane 17:38, Cillian Reilly 18:09, Aoibhe Rooney 19:22, Brian Cotter 19:43, Orla Gormley 20:12, Siobhain McArdle 22:17 and Mary Lynch 22:54.
