Michael Farrelly and Tara Meier took silver medals at the national under-23 indoor championship in TUS international arena Athlone.
Meier took 60m hurdles silver clocking 8.82 seconds, just behind Arabella Adekoya of St. Laurence O’Toole in 8.71 seconds.
Meier had posted 8.85 seconds to make the final finishing second in her heat behind Adekoya.
Farrelly took silver in the 60 metres posting 6.95 seconds. Farrelly was just behind Metro’s NKemjika Onwumereh who clocked 6.84 seconds for gold.
Farrelly had won heat three in 7.03 seconds to advance to the final.
