Sophie Becker has been named on the Ireland 4x400m relay team for the World Indoor championship in Glasgow next month.
Becker is part of the women’s 4x400m relay with Sharlene Mawdsley (Newport), Phil Healy (Bandon), Roisin Harrison (Emerald), Rachel McCann (North Down) and Lauren Cadden (Sligo).
Becker became the first Raheny Shamrock athlete to compete in the World indoor championships in Belgrade 2022 competing in both the 400m and 4x400m relay.
Last Sunday, Becker added national silver to her mantle piece taking 400m silver behind Ireland team mate Sharlene Mawdsley.
