Niamh Fogarty Wins At AI Open Meet

Cillian Kirwan posted 1:46.93 for sixth place at the Andujar international in Spain on Friday night.

Kirwan moved to seventh in the all-time Irish rankings last weekend in Belfast, produced another good performance in a race won by Ryan Clarke of the Netherlands in 1:45.74.

On Sunday, Niamh Fogarty won the discus competition at the AI May Open in Morton Stadium. Fogarty had a best effort of 55.12 metres.

Also at the AI May Open Tara Meier posted 14.92 second over 100m Hurdles. In the second series of races Meier posted 14.52 seconds.

In the 100m Orla Comerford won heat three in 12.16 seconds with Isable Twomey posting 12.98 seconds. In heat two Abena Afari clocked 12.95 seconds.

In series two Orla Comerford posted 12.05 second in heat one and in heat two Twomey clocked 12.91 seconds and Afari 13.10 seconds.

In the 400m hurdles Oisin McCorry posted 56.55 seconds. While in the Long jump Colm Bourke had a best of 7.01 metres. Whereas in the triple jump Daphni Doulaptsi Teeuwen posted 12.54 meters.
