Comerford Victorious At Prefontaine

Orla Comerford landed the women’s para athletics 100m at the famous Prefontaine Classic on Saturday.

Comerford took the tape in 12.13 seconds to take victory ahead of Kym Crosby in the mixed classification event.

Whereas, Sophie Becker continued her good early season form last Wednesday (22nd) taking third place at the Klando hazi and Klando memorials meet in Czech Republic. Becker posted 51.75 seconds just behind South Africa’s Miranda Charlene Coetzee who won out in 51.20 seconds.

On the same night at the Dublin Graded meet in Tallaght. Freyja O’Carroll took second place in the 400m A race in 58.55 seconds. In the men’s D race Niall Power took third place in 63.54.

Chloe Griffin took a very impressive fourth place in the women’s mile in 5:49.75. The fourth fastest mile overall. While in the D grade Sarah Cavanan took second place in 6:10.64.
