Ciara Brady Third At Dublin Marathon 5 Mile

Lots of road racing taking place over the second weekend in June.

Ciara Brady took third place at the Dublin Marathon five mile posting 32 minutes three seconds. Brady was followed home by James McAssey 27:48, Graham O’Dwyer 28:46, Eoin O’Donaghue 32:01, Robert Cooper 40:37, Mary Lynch 41:36 and Ger Fay 44:19.

While at the mile marker series in Kilkenny Chris Troy clocked 26:23 over 5k.

On Friday night Gerard Fay posted 27:37 at the Bru na Boinne, Donore in Co. Meath.

On Saturday, Robert Frewen clocked 16:00 at the Bohermeen Patrick Bell & Nicky Phillips 5km followed by Aoibhe Rooney 21:01 and Ger Fay 27:34.

At the Run Killarney half-marathon Angela Charlton 1:58:21. At the Run Killarney 10km Peter Leonard posted 36:56, Niall McDonnell 42:58, Helen Carr 44:27, Rosie Kidd 47:06.

While Gerry Christie posted 59:12 at the Glenmore AC Running Festival 10km. While at the Glenmore AC Running Festival Half-Marathon John Friar clocked 1:48:20, Lorna Christie 2:05:04 and Gerard Fay 2:10:27.

At the Watford BMC Niamh Kearney took third place in the 1500m B race posting 4:22.39. The race was won by Katie Pye of Aldershot Farnham & District in 4:20.01.
