A brilliant start to the cross country season in the phoenix park today as Kate Crowley and Anthony O’Brien took silver medals and there was gold for the men’s team.
Kate Crowley took silver in the women’s race just behind Crusaders Doireann Hughes.
Crowley led the team to fifth place. The scoring team was Cronin, Bernadette Bruen, Mary Timmons and Triona Nic-Dhonaill.
Also running were Caitriona Costello, Clare Fox, Clodagh Foley, Muireann Browne, Eimear O’Keeffe, Siobhan McArdle, Catherine Leavy and Romane Guernalec 20:16.
Anthony O’Brien took men’s silver and led the team home to gold. Aaron Donnelly of DSD won outright with O’Brien taking silver.
O’Brien was followed home by Michael Brady, David Jackson and Aidan Jones for 34 points, 27 points clear of Donore Harriers.
Eoin O’Dwyer was the next shamrock home followed by Cian Charlton, John Patrick Burlow, Vengatramanakarthikeyan Meiazhagan, Gerard Curley, Aodhaghan O’Deasmhunaigh, Colin McDonnell, Giovanni Salvatore.
Stephen McGuinness, Jeff Moore, Sean Honan, Oscar Verde, Kevin O’Donnell and Sean McDonnell.
