It was another good day for Raheny Shamrock at the Leinster masters cross country.
Fiona Roche took the outright win in the women’s race and captured the O/40 gold medal.
There was also individual medals for Trish Fitzgerald gold O/55, Tara Kennedy silver O/50. There was team gold for the O/50 team of Tara Kennedy, Mary Walsh and Trish Fitzgerald. The team had some nine points to spare on Mullingar Harriers.
Also running were Jenny Colbert, Jean Dunne and Rose McCaul.
In the men’s event, David Kirwan took O/45 silver. While there was O/50 silver for Ciaran McCarthy.
There silver on the double for the two men’s teams as the O/35 team of David Kirwan, Ronan Wogan, David Jackson and John Clarke.
While the O/50 team of Ciaran McCarthy, Tomas McEvoy and Erik Champ also took silver. Also running were, Ross Ringwood, Terry Keogh, Keith Fleming and Ken Doyle.
There was a large number competing on the roads over the weekend. At the Annagassan 10km Sarah O’Neill was first home in 47:28, followed by Catherine Groves 48:51, Dee O’Connor 49:36, Desmond Lyons 52:13.
Cherrie Hyland 54:06, Gerard Fay 56:49 and Siobhan Mulvey 64:16.
