Michael Farrelly equalled Mark Smyth’s 100m club record at the first Dublin graded meet of the season.
Farrelly clocked 10.40 seconds to finish second in round two of the 100m races. UCD’s Bori Akinola won out in 10.32 seconds.
Earlier in the day, Farrelly clocked 10.58 seconds to finish second behind Akinola in round one. Akinola clocked 10.42 seconds for victory.
Also competing Hiro Takei posted 11.65 seconds in the B race round one. In round two Takei posted 11.68 seconds.
While David Konovalov won grade C round one in 10.98 seconds and then won the round two in 10.94 seconds. In grade D, Patrick Nolan posted 12.61 seconds.
In the women’s events, Emily Keogh won grade D round one in 13.10 seconds with Cara Griffin fifth in 14.62 seconds and Issy McGovern sixth in 14.59 seconds. In heat two Rebecca O’Rourke posted 13.53 seconds for third.
In round two Emily took a second win in 13.25 seconds. Cara Griffin was fourth in 14.54 and Issy McGovern fifth in 14.76. Rebecca O’Rourke won heat two in 13.53 seconds.
In the men’s 3000m grade A race Kevin Byrne posted 9:01.69 to finish in sixth place with Clonliffe’s Colm Rooney winning out in 8:19.88.
In the B race, Tom Collier clocked 9:36.93, Theo Duffy 9:43.96 and Cillian Cooney 10:03.99. In the C race, Vengatramanakarthikeyan Meiazhagan posted 10:19.77
In the women’s 3000 metres Chloe Griffin posted 11:23.27 followed by Blaithin Sheil 11:52.31.
Charlie Gunawardhana won the men;s Grade C 800m in 2:03.67. In heat two Alex Daly posted 2:16.04.
In the D grade Niall Power 2:20.87 and Paul Curtayne 2:33.46. In heat two Eoin Brogan clocked 2:18.00.
In the 800m grade D, Chole Griffin won out in 2:34.74 as Esther Ntoko made it a Raheny 1-2 in 2:37.50. Cara Griffin took fourth place in 2:44.43.
Whereas Daphni Doulaptsi Teeuwen followed up her good indoor season by winning the long jump with a best of 5.51 metres.
