Charlie McConalogue Visits Raheny Shamrock AC Clubhouse

Raheny Shamrock Athletic Club was delighted to welcome the Minister of State for Sport, Charlie McConalogue, to their clubhouse at St. Assam’s Church in Raheny on Tuesday.

During his visit, Minister McConalogue toured the facility and received a detailed presentation from the Clubhouse Development Group on the current status of the redevelopment project. In his remarks, the Minister congratulated Raheny Shamrock AC for its longstanding contribution to athletics and sport both locally and across Dublin, as well as for the club’s role in supporting athletes who have gone on to represent Ireland internationally.

The Minister also outlined the various supports available to Raheny Shamrock AC through his department.

Also in attendance were public representatives including Barry Heneghan T.D., Tom Brabazon T.D., Naoise Ó Muirí T.D., and several Dublin City Councillors.

“We were pleased to welcome Minister McConalogue to our clubhouse in Raheny and we thank him for his continued support,” said Raheny Shamrock AC Chairperson William Walsh. “We are working to deliver an upgraded St. Assam’s Church as a modern clubhouse for Raheny Shamrock AC — a high-performance athletics facility and a community hub for the people of Raheny.”

“We look forward to continuing our collaboration with local representatives and officials in the Department of Sport as this important project progresses.”
