The Raheny Shamrock men’s and women’s teams took silver and bronze at the national five mile road championship in the Phoenix Park.
Kieran Kelly was first home, despite suffering a nasty fall close to the finish. The provisional results have Kelly done as sixth overall in 25 minutes three seconds.
The team of Kelly, Michael Brady, Kevin Dooney and Cillian O’Leary scored a combined time of 1:41.42 behind gold medallists DSD with Mullingar Harriers in third place.
The women’s team of Annette Kealy, Ciara Brady and Maria Dolan clocked a combined time of 1:34.29 behind winners DSD with Galway City Harriers third.
