Kate Purcell Wins Dublin 10 Mile Championship

Kate Purcell won the Dublin 10 mile championship on Saturday, held as part of the Frank Duffy 10.

Purcell posted 59 minutes 53 seconds to win the Dublin Championships and take third place overall.

Fiona Stack clocked 61 minutes 18 seconds to take Dublin championship silver.

Also racing were Robert Frewen posted 56 minutes three minutes, John Shanahan 57.02, Dara Mac Riocaird 57.38, Aidan Jones 59.00, Conor Ahern 59.29, Ian Mc Conkey 59.50.

On Sunday, Kieran Kelly took second place at the storming the Castle 10k in Carrickfergus in 32 minutes 14 seconds.

At the St. Cocas Kilcock 10 from 10 Barry Meehan posted 57:11 followed by Eoin Connelly 62:34, Philip McGovern 65:59, Dave Woods 67:07, Andy Kelly 69:25, Orla Gilheaney 78:04, John Friar 80:10 and Gerard Fay 89:27.

At the Castlepollard 5km on Wednesday Gerard Fay posted 25:10.

While on Thursday at the Man O’War 7km, Carmel Ward 31:15, Dave Feeney 33:10, Catherine Groves 36:08, Gerard Fay 36:42 and Greg O’Beirne 39:05.

At the Rathkenny 5km Gerard Fay clocked 26:47 and Matt Wade 34:50.
