Giovanne Salvatore and Zoe Quinn were crowned 2025 Member First Credit Union Lord Mayor of Raheny champions on Tuesday night.
The epic 13 round series came to a conclusion with Tuesday night’s Peter Doody Two Mile with a number of series positions up for grabs.
Zoe Quinn landed her fourth Lord Mayor of Raheny Two Mile series title, making her the most successful female in the competitions 27-year history.
Quinn managed four top seven finishes to finish with a total of 53 points to take victory. Quinn had just four points to spare on 2020 winner Ciara Brady who took second place.
Brady also scored very strongly with six top seven finishes, also finishing just off top spot.
Juvenile, Chloe Griffin took third place with a very impressive total of 72 points from the series.
A late surge from Molly Kenny saw her take the juvenile series prize. Whereas Karen Slye’s consistency saw her take the O/40 prize.
The O/45 prize went to Noreen Coffey, O/50 Mary Walsh, O/55 Jenny Colbert, O/60 Orla Gormley, O/65 Bernie Kearns and O/75 June Comiskey.
Giovanne Salvatore was an impressive winner of the men’s title, jumping his way to a top score of 11 points. Juvenile James Smyth put together a top class summer to take second place with 25 points.
Whereas, Dave Cronin put in a late charge to take third place with 28 points.
Young Jamie Coffey took home the juvenile award with Kenneth Kelly winning the O/35 award.
O/40 went to Paddy Conroy with Ciaran Chandler taking the O/45 award. Mr Consistency Keith Fleming was the O/50 winner.
Robert Cooper took the O/55 award with Ken Doyle landing the O/60 title, Sean McGoldrick O/65 and Steven Rowe O/70.
63 athletes competed in seven races of the series and collected the memento.
200 athletes competed in the series with seven competing in all 13 races.
The Jim Wall Open Two Mile Handicap completes Raheny Shamrock’s summer series of racing on September second.
