Sophie Becker, Brian Fay and Eric Favors have all received call ups to the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.
Becker has been selected as part of both Mixed 4x400m relay and the women’s 4x400m relay. Becker has previously competed at these championships in Orgeon 2022 and Budapest 2023.
Brian Fay has been selected in the 5,000 metres. Fay previously competed at the World Championships in Budapest 2023.
Eric Favors will compete in the shot put. Whereas, Favors competed at the 2022 and 2023 World Championships.
The 2025 World Athletics Championships take place at the National Stadium in Tokyo between September 13th to 21st.
Kieran Finn became the first Raheny Shamrock athlete to compete at the World Championships, when he took part in the championships second edition at Rome 1987 in the men’s 4x400m relay.
Paddy McGrath competed at Seville 1999 and Mick Clohisey at London 2017.
