Kate Crowley Lands Dublin 5k Gold

Kate Crowley took Dublin ladies senior gold and Shane Spring bronze at the Rathfarnham 5km incorporating the Dublin 5km Championships

Spring was first Raheny athlete in home in a race were Efrem Gidey broke the course record. Spring clocking 14 minutes 34 seconds.

Ciaran McCarthy Dublin masters men’s O50 bronze, Kate Crowley Dublin ladies senior gold and Annette Kealy Dublin master’s ladies O55 gold.

There was team medals for men’s senior silver: Shane Spring, Kieran Kelly, Jordon McDonnell and Conrad Latham.

Dublin O50’s men’s team silver: Ciaran McCarthy, Nick Alexander, Anthony Lee and Brian McWeeney.

Dublin 050’s women’s team gold: Annette Kealy, Lorraine Byrne and Patricia O’Cleirigh.

At the Monaghan Phoenix Trail Marathon Gerard Fay posted 5:45:23.

On Saturday, at the East of Ireland Marathon in Howth, Greg O’Beirne posted 62:32 in the 10k. In the Half-marathon Gavin Judge clocked 1:54:34

Carmel Ward finished second overall and won the women’s race in the 3/4 Marathon in 2:39:18. While Gerard Fay posted 5:13:00 in the marathon.

At the Ecotrail Wicklow Evilazio Araujo posted 65:10 in the 10k and Clare McKenna 3:19:21 in the 19km.

On Thursday. Colm Gormley was first home at the BHAA Keypoint 5km in 22:04. Gormley was followed home by Gerard Fay 22:44, Des Lyons 24:21, Gerry Christie 26:58 and June Comiskey 30:16.
