Mick Clohisey has been selected for the European Team for tomorrow’s Great Edinburgh Cross Country tomorrow.
Europe faces the USA and a Great Britain team led by Mo Farah.
Clohisey becomes the first Raheny Shamrock man to represent Europe in an international fixture.
The European team is coached by Letterkenny’s Teresa McDaid with Kilcoole’s Fionnuala McCormack taking part in the Women’s race.
Kieran Kelly is part of the Irish 4×1 kilometre mixed relay team which faces teams from Great Britain, England, Wales, Northern Ireland along with Scotland and Scotland B selections.
The event is live on BBC One from 1:15pm.
