Fay Steeples to Leinster Schools Gold

Brian Fay landed the Leinster Schools Senior Boys 2,000 metre steeplechase on a balmy afternoon in Morton Stadium. Belvedere College student Fay, showed a turn of pace to move away from silver medallist Philip Marron of Ratoath College coming home for victory in six minutes 11 point 31 seconds. Senior Men & Master Women Capture Terenure

Mick Clohisey was just piped for the Terenure Five mile title as Peter Brandon-Somba winning out by just two seconds. Clohisey second place along with Cillian O’Leary’s fifth place set up the senior men for team victory with the master’s women team also taking gold.
