National Novice County team

Congratulations to Ciaran McCarthy, Des Kennedy, Dave Kirwin and Tara Kennedy Monks on their selection to the Dublin team for Sunday’s National Novice Cross Country. The above mentioned members will also be part of club teams in both the novice men’s and women’s races. The championships will be held in Dundalk I.T on Sunday December 11th. The national juvenile uneven age championships will open the programme.

Weekend Round up

Simon Ryan clocked 73 minutes five seconds for seventh place at the Waterford Half marathon on Saturday. The race was won by Sergiu Ciobanu who clocked 65 minutes 51 seconds. Davey Duane was the next Raheny athlete home in 81 minutes and 29 seconds with Gabriel Byrne clocking 95 minutes 25 seconds and John Freir posting 95 minutes 47 seconds. Crimin just misses out at Intermediate

Aine Crimin was just outside the medals at the Dublin intermediate in Tymon Park yesterday. Crimin finished just 20 seconds off a medal finishing fifth, the race was won outright by Clare Sullivan of Rathfarnham WSAF. Sportsworld pair Sinead Tangney and Catherine Bambrick took silver and bronze with Crimin just outside the medals. Dooney bells in for Second

Conor Dooney kept his great form up taking second place in the Jingle Bells 5K this morning leading the club to another team title. Dooney third scorer in last Sunday’s National senior cross country gold medal winning team having finished 11th, posted 14 minutes 30 seconds for the Phoenix Park 5K.
