Mrs. Maura Martin RIP
Raheny Shamrock Athletic Club are saddened to learn of the passing of Maura Martin, mother of Mick Martin. Mrs. Martin passed away on Sunday May 21st in Nazareth House on the Malahide Road. Mrs. Martin’s funeral takes place on Thursday May 25th at 10am in St. John the Baptist church in Clontarf with removal for burial to St. Fintan’s cemetary. Full details available here
Leinster Schools Sprint Double for Smyth
Mark Smyth landed the 100/200 double at the Leinster Schools track and field championships in Morton Stadium on Saturday. Smyth broke the tape in the 100 metres in 10.97, two tenths of a second ahead of David McDonnell of CBS Wexford. Mick Boyle won the Malahide in 16 minutes 56 seconds, with Dean Keogh 20:47, Steven Rowe 23:32 also competing.
