Kearney Scores 3000m Indoor Victory

On Wednesday night Niamh Kearney won the BMC Women’s 3,000 metres indoors A Race in Lee Valley. Kearney posted 9:25.27 for victory some three seconds clear of Alex Barbour who posted 9:28.57 for second place. At the national 50km road race in Doneda Colm Cassidy took 16th place in three hours 28 minutes and 26 seconds. Gavin Judge posted 4:43.25, a very well done to both Colm and Gav.

Mid-Week Track And Road Action

Juan Pena kept his good form in action on Wednesday night at the Track & field live meet in the national indoor arena in Abbotstown. Pena took victory in the indoor mile posting 4:10.15. Brian Fay Sets New Club 3000m Indoor Record

Brian Fay set a new club indoor 3,000 metre record last night clocking 7:40:09 at the World Athletics Indoor Tour Meet in Boston on Sunday night. Zoe Quinn Wins Torremolinos 5K

Zoe Quinn brought the Raheny Shamrock victories to Spain on Saturday when winning the Torremolinos 5K. Brian Kelly was the first Raheny man home in the 5K posting 20:27.
