All club members are invited to our Christmas party on Thursday December 21st. On the night there will be a DJ, raffle and food. Entry is free to all members. The Christmas party takes place on Thursday December 21 in the Cedar’s lounge from 8pm.
Kieran Kelly took third place at the Drogheda 5Km clocking 14 minutes 43 seconds. Clonliffe’s Cathal Doyle won out in 14:16 with Rathfarnham’s Mitchell Byrne second in 14:43. Kelly was followed home by Jamie Hyland taking sixth place in 15:38, Jeff Moore 19:29, Aoibhe Rooney 21:07 and Gerard Fay 24:19. Jamie Whelan landed the 2023 Joe Noonan Cup for the first time clocking 26 minutes 20 seconds. Whelan was followed home by Colm Cassidy in 27.58 and George Sevastopilo posting 28.08. Fiona Roche set a new women’s course record when she broke the tape in 29 minutes 29 seconds. Taking 85 seconds off Zoe Quinn’s record. Niamh Kearney made history at round two of the Winter League on Wednesday night, becoming the first female race winner. Kearney posted a sharp 10 minutes 40 over two miles on a gold winters evening. Ruairi O’Sullivan took second place holding off Alan Foley. A big field pushed on by Brian Sexton’s juvenile group made it a very interesting winters night.
