Smyths Ireland Make Euro Relay Standard

Mark Smyth helped Ireland to European Championship 4x100m relay qualifying standard in Tullamore today. The Irish team of Israel Olatunde (UCD), Smyth, Colin Doyle (Leevale) and Joseph Ojeyumi (Tallaght) crossed the line ahead of Australia in 39.27 seconds. Smyth Takes AAI Games Second Place

Mark Smyth finished second in the 200 metres at today’s first day of the AAI games. Smyth clocked 20.96 seconds just 0.06 seconds behind Clonliffe’s Marcus Lawler. Smyth was well clear of third placed Simon Graf who posted 21.02 seconds.
