Kieran Kelly and Siobhan Eviston captured the men’s and women’s prizes at the Seamie Weldon 5K in Ardee on Saturday. Kelly posted 15 minutes and nine seconds for victory some 33 seconds clear of second placed Eoin Molly from Castlegar. Adrienne Atkins, Patricia O’Cleirigh and Feidhilm Kelly took gold medals at the national masters track and field championships held in Santry today. Atkins collected gold in the W55 1500m’s posting 5:52.88 and followed that up with silver in the 800 metres posting 2:45.98.
