The 2024 Tommy Lynam mid-summer two mile takes place this Tuesday June 25th at 8pm. This race doubles as round three of the Lord Mayor of Raheny two mile series. Entry is €7 for each race or €50 for the remaining 12 races and the 2024 Jim Wall Handicap on Tuesday September 10th. Raheny Shamrock are saddened to learn of the passing of our member and friend Mary O’Sullivan. Mary is the wife of club coach Tom O’Sullivan and mother to long time members Carl, Neil and Jenny. It is with great sadness we in Raheny Shamrock learned of the loss of longtime member Emmet O’Cleirigh who passed away last Wednesday just four days short of his 20th birthday. Emmet was a product of the Club’s Juvenile system and in the latter years had been a firm and popular figure in Damien Wall’s development group . Kieran Kelly won the national five mile title in the Phoenix Park this afternoon, clocking 24 minutes 11 seconds. Kelly was some 18 seconds clear of Moy Valley’s Luke Johnston in second place. Kelly was followed home by Michael Brady 26:06, Anthony Sharkey 26:52 and Ciaran McCarthy 27:10 as the team took the national five mile title.
