Raheny Shamrock Athletic Club are sad to learn of the passing of Seán Ó Súilleabháin and Bobby Duane. Seán Ó Súilleabháin, father of club member Rory O’Sullivan passed away on October 25th. As the 2023 Dublin Marathon is just days away, the countdown is well and truly underway. Our own Martin Kelly is one of just 11 runners who have competed in every Dublin marathon since 1980! To celebrate the Dublin Marathon, the runners, the stewards and our run groups we will have a club celebration this Sunday night in the Beachcomber from 7:30pm. Presentation on the night of The Quinner trophies which are awarded to the first Raheny female and male across the line, will take place. The Raheny Shamrock ladies took team took a credible fifth place at the Leinster novice cross country in Kilkenny. Ailish Murtagh lead the team home in 13th place followed by Sarah Deneher 19th, Orlaith Smith 20th and Seona O’Keeffe 54th. That gave the team 106 points, equal with Sportsworld for fourth place.
