Sophie Becker finished fourth on her Diamond league debut on Sunday night in Rabat. Becker posted 51.84 seconds for fourth place. The race was won by Marileidy Paulino of Dominican Republic in 50.10 seconds. Sada Williams of Bahamas was second in 50.74 seconds with Jamaica’s Stephanie Ann McPherson third in 51.37. Zoe Quinn was the first Raheny athlete home at the Vhi Women’s mini marathon taking 22nd place. Quinn clocked 37 minutes 15 seconds and was followed home by Sarah Quigley in 38:03. The third Raheny athlete home was Hannah Craddock in 43:13. This year the women’s mini-marathon doubles as the Dublin 10km road race championship. The 2022 Lord Mayor of Raheny series starts this Tuesday June 7th on the usual course in Raheny. The series now comprises of 13 race over two miles every Tuesday night. The course is a one mile loop used for national championship road relays and over the past 22 years has grown in popularity.
