As of Monday April 26th the club will reopen to training for juvenile member’s in-line with government guidelines for re-opening the country. For this stage of the re-opening the club’s juvenile coaches are dealing with their own groups on a case by case basis and are working with juvenile’s who where members in 2020. Niamh Fogarty has been selected for the European Throwing Cup in Split, Croatia on May 8th and 9th. Fogarty will compete in the Under-23 discus competition and is one of eight athlete’s selected for the competition. Best wishes to Niamh with her travel and competition in Croatia.
Eric Favors took shot put second place at the University of South Carolina open with a best throw of 18.69 metres on Saturday. Favors best attempt was his fifth attempt having recorded a first attempt of 18.56m following it up with 18.45m, 18.35m, 18.58m and finally 18.69m.
