Mark Kirwin took second place in the Cork City Marathon posting two hours 25 minutes 18 seconds behind Gary O’Hanlon who won out in 2:21.10. Mick Clohisey took fifth place at the České Budějovice half-marathon in the Czech Republic posting 65 minutes 40 seconds. The race was won outright by Britain’s Luke Traynor in 63 minutes 40 seconds. The 2018 Lord Mayor Road Race series was launched in Raheny today. The series of 13 “Two Mile” road races begins on Tuesday June 12 and runs every Tuesday until August 28th.
