There was excellent running by Raheny Shamrock athlete’s at national uneven age championships held Gowran, Co. Kilkenny. Very good running in the girls under-13 race from Claire Aoife O’Leary, Maggie Foley, Ciara Woods, Sophie Kelly, Rebecca O’Rourke and Olivia Meikle. Forkan Finishes Fifth At National Cross Country

Elena Forkan had a great run at the National under-16 cross country championship finishing fith overall and leading the Raheny team home. The team of Forkan, Siomha Magee, Darerca O’Sullivan, and Grace Meikle finished 12th team overall in a very competitive national field. Forkan was second scorer on both the Dublin and regional gold medal winning teams.


Success At Dublin Uneven Age Championships

The Dublin Juvenile Uneven Age Championships took place in the Trinity Sports Complex in Santry. Claire O’Leary got the day off to a great start with a 9th place finish in the girls under-13 race. Sevastopulo and Forkan do Leinster Repeat

George Sevastopulo and Elena Forkan captured Dublin community games gold and silver in Santry two weeks ago. These performances qualified the Raheny Shamrock athletes for the Leinster Community Games which today took place in Leixlip, Co Kildare, were they repeated their Dublin performances.
