Dublin Masters XC

Damien Martin and Annette Kealy were the clubs top finishers, as 350 athletes competed at the Dublin XC Championships yesterday. Annette was 4th overall and first O45. Brid Ni Chonaill was next home in 11th and was third in the O40, while Orla Gormley was 30th and second O50. Other finishers were Lorraine Byrne (19th), Helen Carr (31st), Elaine McNulty (62nd), Denise Kelleher (80th), Fiona Kirwan (83rd), Caroline Farrelly (84th), Mary Purdue Smyth (86th), Rachel Ormond (93rd), Bernie Manley (105th), Orla Lambe (115th), Brid Smyth (116th), June Comiskey (140th). The womens O50 team finished second while the O35’s finished just outside the medals.

In the men’s race Damien Martin was 10th overall and comfortable winner of the O50’s. Pat Timmons was winner of the O65’s. Other finishers were Wes O’Brien (11th), Dave Kirwin (12th), Damien Kehoe (36th), Dave Grange (45th), Brian Kelly (46th), Dave Woods (69th), Sean Honan (74th), Dave Gargan (110th), Niall Power (112th), Paul Conroy (125th), Gerry Kelch (139th), John Fennell (142nd), Vinny CLohisey (149th), John Freir (156th), Martin Kelly (158th), Dave Brady. The men’s O50 team won the team title while the O35 team was 5th.
