Kieran Kelly won the Drogheda & District AC 5K in 14 minutes 36 seconds some eight seconds clear of the host clubs Tadgh Donnelly. Iseult O’Donnell took the women’s title in 16:37.

Graham Dwyer clocked 16:16, Ollie Power 20:11 and Marianne Fanning 32:48.

Meanwhile at the National 35K Walk championship hosted by Raheny Shamrock and held in St Anne’s Park was won by 2019 World Championship bronze medallist Perseus Karlstrom of Sweden in 2:31.54.

Poland’s Agnieska Ellward won the women’s race in 3:05:10. Donegal’s Brendan Boyce first Irish man home in second place in 2:32.49. Kate Veale of West Waterford was first Irish woman in second place in 3:07.03.
