O’Brien And Clohisey Claim Road Victories

Dylan O’Brien and Mick Clohisey took victories on the roads as a large number of Raheny Shamrock athlete’s made a big impact at the LSA 4-Mile.

Dylan O’Brien won the LSA four mile in 20 minutes 49 seconds, ahead of Shane Fitzgerald in 21:03.

Brian Leahy took fourth place in 21:59 followed by Peter Leonard in eighth place in 22:45.

Also runner very well were Anthony Walsh 23:55, Keith Fleming 24:52, Brian Cotter 25:46, Niall Buckey 27:05, Helen Carr 27:09, Rose Kidd 27:58, Richie Kenneally 29:27, Mary Purdue-Smyth 31:09, Una Cherry 35:48 and Valerie Clinton 36:28.

While Mick Clohisey won the An Riocht AC Kingdom 10 mile in 50 minutes 47 seconds, well clear of second place Derek Griffin in 54:04.

Meanwhile Rachel Ormrod finished as sixth woman and second in O/45 at the Inaugural Ardgillan IMRA Summer League Race on Thursday night.

The next fixture in the IMRA series is the Howth Meet on Wednesday May 25th.
