Kieran Kelly took second place in the Carlingford 5K on Friday night.
Kelly posted 14 minutes 47 seconds behind second placed Ben Branagh from St Malachy’s who clocked 14.23.
Kelly led home a Raheny team of Gavin Eccles (15:07) and Dylan O’Brien (16:27) to second place with 36 points. North Belfast Harriers won out with 25 points.
Also racing were Bernard Roe (16:52), Simon Devenney (17:36), Dave Woods (18:24) and Ciaran Chaney (21:07).
At the Kilbeggan 10 mile on Sunday Graham Ahearne was first Raheny athlete home in 57:17 followed by Sean Kelly 58:06, Dave O’Hara 68:34, Wal McConnell 69:44, Orla Manley 70:04, Niall Buckley 72:45 and Angela Charlton 79:48.
At the Monaghan 10 mile Karen Slye posted 78:46 and Niamh O’Malley 79:28.
While the men’s team of David Kirwan (15:43), Robert Frewen (15:49), Ian McConkey (16:21), Will Walsh (18:17) took second place at the Athboy 5k. The team were just seven points off winners Trim.
Also running well in Athboy were Sarah Quigley 17:40 and Maria Hughes 25:22.
