The draw for teams took place this afternoon and produced some interesting protagonists.
The nature of the entry warranted a change to the method of selection as originally presented.
On mature reflection we divided the 56 entrants into bowls as follows :
– 14 in age category 16 to 38
– 14 in age category 39 to 47
– 14 in age category 48 to 56
– 14 in age category 60 to 69
Teams of four were put together by drawing 1 athlete from each bowl. Where possible it required two male and two female each team but due to there more male entrants than females this was not totally achievable.
It is what it is so let battle commence.
Race starts at 10am outside Manor House.
Race numbers and check in at Old Church Clubhouse from 9am to 9.45am.
Even though team entries are now closed It is still possible for all club members to partake and all are welcome on the day.
Prize giving and reception in club ouse directly following race where Athlete of Year awards will be presented. Star gazers watch out for two of our biggest names being present with Brian Fay and Sophie Becker confirmed attendees.
