Mark Smyth will compete at the European Championships in Rome in the 200 metres following confirmation from European Athletics.
Smyth has qualified by rank by European Athletics entering the 200 metres. Smyth was selected as part of the 4x100m relay team. However, he will now also compete as an individual in Rome.
Sophie Becker (400 metres, mixed 4x400m and women’s 4x400m relay teams), Brian Fay (5,000m and 10,000m) and Eric Favors (shot put) have all been selected as four Raheny Shamrock Athletes will compete in Rome.
The European Championship take place in the Olympic Stadium, Rome between June 7th – 12th.
