The temperature hit 32C on the Tullamore Harriers track on the last day of the Juvenile championships, but that didn’t deter our juvenile shamrocks.
We came away with three relay medals and two B championship medals.
- U19 4x400m mixed team of Conrad, Sarah, Daniel and Roisin with subs Molly and Senan took bronze.
- U19 4x400m girls team of Frejya, Eileen, Chloe and Alex with Sub Cara took bronze.
- U18 4x400m boys team of Conrad, Senan, Daniel and Mark took bronze.
- U19 4x100m team of Emily, Alex, Roisin and Amy narrowly missed a medal in fourth place
- U18 4×400 girls of Cara, Chloe, Esther and Molly placed fifth over all
- U16 4x100m girls Our youngest team of the day Hannah, Sophie, Georgina and Anna just missed out on a place in a hotly contested final
In the B championships Leia Keogh came away with Bronze in the u12 60m and was fifth in the Long jump.
Noah Mongey took silver in the u16 800m. Great runs also by Noemi Ntoko u12 600m, Georgina Bruen LIston in the u16 800m, James Smith and Myles Hawkshaw in the u15 800m.
So overall a hugely successful Nationals for the young Shamrocks. Seven national medals and two national B medals.
The success of our relay teams show the depth that has been created in our teen groups. We are building for the future! Always a special shout out to the coaches of these kids who devote so much of their time to developing these super kids.
