Forkan Finishes Fifth At National Cross Country
Elena Forkan had a great run at the National under-16 cross country championship finishing fith overall and leading the Raheny team home. The team of Forkan, Siomha Magee, Darerca O’Sullivan, and Grace Meikle finished 12th team overall in a very competitive national field. Forkan was second scorer on both the Dublin and regional gold medal winning teams.
Fay Becomes an All-American
Brian Fay continued his excellent start to life in America finishing 38th and first Washington State finishing in the NCAA cross country championship a in Tallahassee. Fay moved to Washington at the start of the season and has found his feet in collegiate life. The 2021/22 Winter road race league begins on Wednesday December first with a three mile race. The Winter league returns after a one year absence having fallen victim in 2020/21 to covid-19 restrictions.
