Maher & Farrelly land All-Ireland Schools Gold

The 2018 All-Ireland schools track and field championship saw Raheny Shamrock athlete’s collect two gold, three silver and a bronze medal. Czech Fifth For Clohisey, Kirwan and O’Driscoll PB

Mick Clohisey took fifth place at the České Budějovice half-marathon in the Czech Republic posting 65 minutes 40 seconds. The race was won outright by Britain’s Luke Traynor in 63 minutes 40 seconds. Clohisey was just 32 seconds off third place which was taken by Austrian Valentin Pfeil. 2018 Lord Mayor Of Raheny Series

The 2018 Lord Mayor Road Race series was launched in Raheny today. The series of 13 “Two Mile” road races begins on Tuesday June 12 and runs every Tuesday until August 28th. All races start at 8pm on the Wades Avenue / Watermill drive course, a course which is used for the National Road Relay championships. Sean Maher won the hammer contest at the AAI Games in Santry Stadium with a best of 55.59 metres with Hugh Flood second with a best of 46.67 metres.
