It is with great sadness Raheny Shamrock Athletic Club have learnt of the passing of Nora Freir mother of John Freir. Mrs. Freir passed away on March 25 2021. As communicated with our members, Raheny Shamrock Athletic Club have been engaged with Dublin City Council (DCC) for some time on the potential construction of a new Club house on a site beside the Cara Hall. History was made on Friday morning as Sophie Becker became the first Raheny Shamrock Athlete to compete in the European Indoor Championships. Becker finished in a very commanding third place in the second heat of the 400 metres on Friday morning, finishing in 53.23 seconds.
