Becker Steers Ireland to Relay Final
Sophie Becker steered Ireland to the 4x400m European Championship final this morning in Rome. The Irish team won their semi-final as Sharlene Mawdsley produced another big final leg to see Ireland win in 3:24.81. Becker led the team out handing over to Phil Healy (Leevale) in third place with Lauren Cadden (Sligo) hanging in the top four as Sharlene Mawdsley to bring the team home. Lord Mayor Series Begins Tomorrow
The 2024 Lord Mayor of Raheny Two Mile series gets underway this Tuesday June 11th at 8pm. The series returns 25-years after its inception in 1999. Running for 13 weeks, every Tuesday night at 8pm over the Wades Avenue, All Saints Road route. A very busy and special weekend at the European Athletics Championships in Rome. We waited 26-years for a gold medal at these championships and two came in the one weekend.
