Brian Fay Sets New National 5000 Metres Record

Brian Fay set a new national 5,000m record of 13:01.40 at the Night of Athletics meeting in Belgium. Fay’s time took two seconds off Alistar Cragg’s national record which has stood since September 2011. The time is under the automatic qualifying standard for the World Championships in Budapest. Fourth Place For Comerford In World Para-Athletics Championship Final

Orla Comerford came agonisingly close to a medal at the World Para Athletics Championships in Paris. Comerford clocked 12.22 for fourth place just 0.06 seconds off bronze. 100m T13 Gold went to Lamiya Valiyeva of Azerbaijan in 11.99.
